WE DELIVER THE NETWORK THROUGH LOCAL CONNECTIVITY EXPERTS
WNL DEMOCRATISES IOT – LOWERING THE COST TO ALL.
Standardised National Network
Acting much like existing cellular network, the LoRaWAN network will be securely accessible to multiple "tenants" (Customers)
Low Standardised per device fees
Low per connected device (Node) per month fees, reducing the overall cost to tenants and therefore end-users.
Accelerating evolution and deployment
LoRaWAN's international maturity enables rapid build and deployment of solutions for most New Zealand use cases
Rapid deployment of the network
Leveraging existing local WISP infrastructure and experience, WNL works with customers to rapidly deploy and support gateways delivering network where you need it
Reduction in complexity
Enables tenants to offer rapid "plug and play" connectivity where the network is invisible to the user
ABOUT US
Wispa Network Ltd (WNL) grew out of the realisation that the major telecommunications companies whose goal is to connect 90% of New Zealanders, are underserving 90% of New Zealand’s land area.
Our objective is to drive down the cost of collecting data from rural and remote Aotearoa New Zealand providing our rural communities with access to the benefit of the Internet of Things.
WNL provides open access nationwide, carrier-grade multitenant LoRaWAN network for IoT solutions providers to deliver clients such as farmers, councils, private companies or government a range of solutions at a magnitude of lower cost through a secure, infinitely scalable, low-cost backbone.
If you are an IoT Solution provider with a specific need, or in a region with network issues, we have the local expertise to rapidly deploy and support a network where you need it.
USE CASES FOR
IOT IN THE PRIMARY SECTOR
GLOBALLY THE NUMBER OF IOT SOLUTIONS CONTINUES TO GROW EXPONENTIALLY
Staff Safety & Security
Remote monitoring of staff and their environment improving health outcomes and securing property e.g. Forestry worker monitoring.
Volume Monitoring
Monitoring of distributed storage sites, (tanks silos etc.) creates new value propositions like "never run out" whilst lowering cost of delivery e.g. rural fuel delivery.
Public Safety
Monitoring and informing the public of risks on roads, public lands and parks e.g. Ice or landslides on remote roads.
Activity Monitoring
Providing deeper insight from remote or inaccessible locations leading to optimisation of resources e.g. manuka flowering or hive monitoring.
Remote Management
Monitoring and control of large utilities infrastructure grids including power, water and pest control.
Larger Sample Sets
LoRaWAN's international maturity drives down the per sensor cost allowing for larger numbers of sensors to be deployed
Hazard Monitoring
Remote continuous monitoring of hazards through events like adverse weather to improve preemptive action e.g. water ingress in earth dams.
Atmospheric Monitoring
Granular monitoring of rainfall, lighting, and CO2 to assist in flood warning, soil moisture management and disease monitoring
NETWORK
The introduction of Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN)
promised low cost and high scale delivery of IoT into rural communities.
However currently IoT Solution providers are having to install and support their own private gateways to deliver solutions, negating the inherent cost and scale benefit of LPWAN.
We’ve solved that!
By democratising the network with an open solution, in which multiple sensor providers can securely leverage the same infrastructure.
Lowering the cost for everyone.
The international scale of LoRaWAN protocol administered by the LoRa Alliance
results in a stable development environment with low sensors cost, designed for extremely long battery life.
Sensor Data is encrypted at the sensor, transferred through the network using metadata, and unencrypted by the IoT Solution Provider, making it secure and robust. Learn More
Devices are provisioned to the LoRaWAN network via WNL’s Things Stack Enterprise (TTE) routing software, a private, multi-tenanted, secure open platform.
WNL’s implementation of TTE ensures all data is domiciled within New Zealand and backed up with multi-site redundancy.
WNL’s shareholders have over 3,000 network endpoint sites across New Zealand, while not all currently have gateways, we will work with our customers to deploy the network where required, within a matter of weeks.
Local WISPs will also assist resolve coverage issues with infill solutions.
OUR SERVICES
YOUR DEVICE + OUR
NETWORK = SIMPLE AS!
WNL provides a secure and robust rural-focused network on which IoT solution providers can implement offerings.

By providing an Open Network, we can deliver connectivity at a cost which is an order of magnitude lower than currently available.
IoT solution providers are simply billed a monthly connection fee per device. We don’t currently have data limits (up or down) but do operate a “fair use policy”.
WISPA Network Limited is a proud member of the New Zealand IoT Alliance
